Weekly Ministry is Based on the Following 5 Pillars

Unashamed Worship
Jesus said, “To love the Lord our God” is the highest and most powerful action of any human (Matt 22:33-40). In the elevation of Christ’s worth, our joy is discovered. Conversely, in the elevation of anything else above Christ, our sin is seen. To fail at worship is the greatest failure possible to man and with the gravest of consequences.

UnconditionalScripture
All scripture is breathed down by God and profitable for growth (2 Tim 3:16). The Word of God is a light for our path and feet (Psalm 119:105). It is a love letter with insights that immediately bless the reader (Revelation 1:3). When the people of God, cherish the Word of God, the presence of God, enters the house of God! If you want God in your life, start with His Word.

Unceasing Prayer
Prayer is the key to faith! To church! To hope! To God! A man on His knees cannot fall! Not little prayers about colds or coughs but jaw dropping, life changing, power-come-down prayers about removal of pride andmiracles on earth. God said, “Call upon me in the day of troubles; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” (Psalm 50:15). Jesus said, “Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night?” (Luke 18:7). God responds to persistence because prayer is changing the one who prays. It’s hard to maintain a rotten attitude while on your knees because as we pray God is making us spiritually fit to receive what He has already chosen to do!

Unreserved Generosity
The bible talks about giving of our “first-fruits” or the first of our income (Proverbs 3:9-10) and also about testing God in this way (Malachi 3:10). Jesus said that he would know our heart by where we placed our treasure (Matt 6:21) and Paul said that, “if we give, God would supply more to give (2 Corinthians 9:11). Because money is such an intimate and vital item to survival, it is also the easiest way to analyze what we care about. If you’d like to do a self-assessment, simply pull your bank statements from last month, look at what you’ve purchased, and you can clearly itemize what you care about. Again, where your treasure is there your heart is also. Is Christ first? Do you trust Him? Do you give joyfully?

Unapologetic Witness
In one of the most nerve racking of scriptures, Jesus told a group of his own disciples, “Deny me now and I’ll deny you in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33) Jesus wasn’t one to mince words, he was bold as a lion and he requires that same boldness of His followers. As Americans, we don’t live in an era of outright persecution for faith in Christ, and that’s too bad, because much of what we call faith, is actually just tradition and spectacle. In the rare occasions that we have the opportunity to share Christ at work, give up the beach for church, or spend time in prayer with our family, we usually don’t. We know the bible says not to miss church (Hebrews 10:25) and that not leading our home spiritually is worse than not accepting Christ (1 Tim 2:3) but we ignore these as mere suggestions. Have we failed? Will we get to heaven and hear Christ deny us? Have we lost our boldness? We must die to self and live for Christ!

STATEMENT OF FAITH

    1. We Believe in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and that they are distinct personalities with distinct roles, but one God. And that One God is the Creator of the universe, omniscient, omnipresent, and immutable.
    2. We Believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God in it’s entirely and that it does not contradict itself. It is our sole authority and our guide.
    3. We Believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and was raised bodily from the grave.
    4. We Believe our salvation comes by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
    5. We Believe the local church, as the body of Christ, is the extension of Jesus Christ’s character, attitude, behavior, and mission in our world today.
    6. We Believe in Baptism by immersion demonstrates our faith and obedience while it depicts our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
    7. We Believe man was created in the image of God and that He gives gifts to both men and women through the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the church’s ministry. These gifts are always used for the edification of the saints and never without order in the church.
    8. We Believe everyone who accepts Christ has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who acts as a Comforter, Guide, and Advocate.
    9. We Believe that humility in prayer is the foundation for all we do and that celebrating regular communion together is beneficial for all Christians.
    10. We Believe marriage has been established by God. This church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.
